Chicago’s new solar power plant
Courtesy of both the federal economic stimulus legislation and the need to cut back on carbon emissions, Exelon and SunPower recently announced they are to collaborate on the development of a 10 megawatt solar power plant which will be located in the South Side of Chicago at an old industrial site. This project is estimated to be worth around $60 million dollars and is slated to be completed this year.
